KINGFISHER

As Michael, my husband, loves kingfishers, I painted this as a gift for his birthday. It was decades ago, and I don’t remember in  which magazine I saw this beautiful  photograph which inspired my painting: we thought it was magical to see the splash of bird and water almost like a single wave and the hidden depths of the stream as the kingfisher sees it every day.
