The Oundle Fringe Festival

East Northamptonshire, United Kingdom

The Oundle Fringe Festival sees the beautiful market town of Oundle  thronged for over a week every summer, with entertainers of a wide range of genres delighting audiences with performances in the local pubs, hotels, cafes and streets as well as the neighbouring villages. There is something for the whole family!

You will find anything from tribute bands to poetry readings, sublime jazz and the blues to thumping rock, the gentle sounds of classical music to the vocals of the 40’s and 50’s; theatre music favourites, high energy bluegrass, Americana, and Scottish pipes; swirling, kicking, tapping, clicking dance teams; comedy performances and maybe the odd Shakespearian ode or two drifting about amongst the many free events in the programme.

Oundle is a historic market town located in the East Northamptonshire area of North Northamptonshire, England, situated on the River Nene.  The Fringe Festival was set up to help as many local musicians as possible in providing platforms and showcase for them – as well as to help provide a buzz for the town and businesses, and to provide entertainment for people in Oundle, the surrounding villages and further afield.

Peaple can donate to the musicians however much they are able to, so that no one needs to feel that they are excluded from enjoying the entertainment.  It is run by a voluntary team who put in many hours of work to pull the Fringe Festival together every year.  The Oundle Fringe Festival is inclusive, so all are welcome to come and enjoy the entertainment!
