A FEW WEEKS OLD
Baby Lana was born during the period of the covid crisis in the UK – so her grandmother could not visit her. This is picture captures a moment during that time which her grandmother could not share.
I quite naturally painted since my childhood, as many children do! And I have always loved this form of expressing the world around me. I use mainly oils, watercolours, acrylics and charcoal/ pencils - occasionally collage, and other media. Over the past 20 years I have periodically attended art classes with 3 art teachers in England and some ad hoc classes. My first attempt at oil painting aged 16 was during a sweltering summer in India, guided by a lovely gentleman art teacher, Mr Kabli. I have painted off and on over the years work allowing. Now, as a Senior Citizen, I paint frequently - never a day without a line!

My husband in an unguarded moment, dancing with me just after our wedding in India. Prepared from a ye olde photograph!
Will and Molly were an inseparable pair, in this picture they were sitting side by side on the staircase. You will see that Molly was aging and Will was not yet a teenager. Will’s Grandmother, wanted to capture these occasions when Will squealed with delight when Molly licked him. I prepared this painting from a set of images.
Ellie, a Siberian Husky, was rescued by an artist and remains his happy companion. Ellie was the subject of an art class on animal portrait. She was captured from a photograph on display.
